Following the recommendations outlined by these groups and considering the current state of COVID vaccinations and hospitalizations in our area, San Japan has made adjustments to its COVID-19 policy for 2023. Most of these fighters are not scared of gods.San Japan continues to monitor official Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization COVID-19 safety protocols. This battle means more than any of the others, because it's for the life of every person that I've ever cared about. Ike: In every battle that mattered in my life, I've always been the one left standing, no matter how slim my chances. Make your peace with whatever the gods worship. Ike: So that's how it's going to be, huh? Then we will fight. One might consider Ike's words when faced with a different divine opponent:Īshera: You expect me to reverse my judgment? The goddess of order cannot be so.mercurial. It's just hard to imagine some of these characters being particularly impressed by Palutena's claim to be a goddess. At the end of Xenoblade, Shulk seems to temporarily become a god and remake the world, so you might give him a bonus there. You might suggest any of the Pokémon on the logic that they can beat the legendaries, some of which were worshipped as gods. You might argue Marth's victory along the same lines: Medeus is not explicitly a god, but he is remarkably similar to Grima. I suppose you could quibble my identification of Demise and Malladus as 'gods': they are technically only referred to as demon kings, I believe, but contextually I think it would be fair to say they're evil gods? Demise, at least, seemed to be positioned as the equal or even superior of the goddess Hylia, in strength: Hyrule Historia describes him as 'the most evil of all evil, who commands enough power to destroy the world'. You might suggest the same for Zelda, who is the reincarnation of a goddess. Ganondorf is referred to as a god by Zant in Twilight Princess, so you might add Zelda and Toon Link, since the former helps in TP and the latter has beaten Ganondorf, and presumably Ganondorf at least gets the credit of being a 'god'. Link (defeated Demise), Toon Link (defeated Malladus), Ike (defeated Ashera), Robin (defeated Grima), Pit (defeated Medusa, Thanatos, Pandora, Pyrrhon, Hades), Shulk (defeated Zanza).ĭefining 'god' can be difficult as well. People who have defeated and/or killed gods in the SSB roster: Of course even in those games, Mario successfully beats him up without resorting to lobbing black holes at him. Galaxy and Galaxy 2, even Super Mario 64 are also examples of this. When he shows greater power, it's almost always because he has some powerup MacGuffin. You mean 99.9% of the time? Where falling off a bridge into lava/magma counts as a win, or melts him to the bone? Or otherwise Rosalina might have simply saved him. Claiming that Bowser "survived" is unverified, and probably untrue. ![]() The event in question was a giant reset button in which things that were destroyed were brought back (like the castle and the ship)and Rosalina called them "new life". Gotta be honest, I don't really read a whole lot into that. Though Super Sonic probably has a fairly good case for winning in general. ![]() Maybe in the absurd beyond belief Archie comics, but not so much in the games. No, Kirby has never eaten entire star systems. Somehow Kirby wank gets stronger with every progressive thread he's mentioned in.
